Parkersburg Summer Tournament

Does anyone know who ended up winning the Parkersburg Summer Tournament. I know the pool winners were Musselman (3-0), Parkersburg (3-0) and Tyler Consolidated (3-0) and Park so. was the 4th team making the final playoff spot. Parkersburg played Musselman in the semi-final (2-3 seed based on points against) in a classic battle, Parkersburg won a 3 game match with scores of 25-23, 24-26, 28-26. The match was great, there seemed like there must of been 50 lead changes throughout the match both teams had match point at least two times before Parkersburg pulled it out. That match probably should have been the finals. It looks like both of these teams will be in the mix again this season. I personally left after the semi-finals, could someone let us know how the finals ended up, I'm only speculating that PHS won?

Philip Barbour Tournament

I don't know who won the Parkersburg Summer Tournament, but Charleston Catholic won the Philip Barbour Summer Tournament on July 1, defeating Bridgeport, Tyler Consolidated and Parkersburg consecutively. CCHS defeated Parkersburg 25-19 and 25-12. CCHS won its own tournament on June 27 defeating Greater Beckley in the finals, and it also won the Lynda Brown Burn Fund Tournament on June 20 defeating Spring Valley. For the three summer tournaments, CCHS had a 17-0-1 match record and a 36-2 set record.
