AFTER WATCHING A REAL GOOD TOURNAMENT. I SAW SOME GOOD TEAMS AND GOOD PLAYERS. I WONDER IF ANYBODY CAN MAKE SOME PREDICTIONS FOR STATES AND PICK AN MSAC ALL TOURNEY TEAM.

Typically, a team does not get more than one player on the All-Conference 1st-Team, but it has happened. It is not likely to get more than two though, since there are only eight slots on 1st-team.

MSAC was surprising, but I don't think you can ever rule Carl Harnish out, he's the best coach in the state. He can take a group of players and pull the very best out of them. Plus he has three talented all round players in Patterson, Dansey and Lowers. They have the potential to win.
MSAC has alot of talented teams this year. Spring Valley, Ripley, Cabel Midland,PHS, Greenbrier East, Beckley, GW and Huntington.
Spring Valley has the most talented overall team, but on any given day any team can be beaten,as MSAC showed.
This next week will be very interesting leading up to the State Tournament.
MSAC All Tournament Team Contenders:
Cole -Spring Valley
Burns -Spring Valley
Bailey -Spring Valley
Patterson -PHS
Dansey -PHS
Lowers -PHS
Alleyne -Greenbrier East
Musick -Huntington
Woods -Beckley
Kessel -Ripley

CONGRATS TO PHS GIRLS AND THEIR COACH. JOB WELL DONE. BEFORE THE TOURNEY STARTED I DID NOT THINK PHS WAS GOING TO WIN. IT IS ALMOST TIME FOR STATES AND THE ELITE TEAMS ARE SHOWING WHAT THEY ARE MADE OF. I LOVE SPRING VALLEY'S FAN SUPPORT. IT IS GOOD FOR THE SPORT. IS THE ALL TOURNEY TEAM THE SAME AS ALL CONFERENCE?

Congratulation to Parkersburg, they came to play and did a great job. Even in the finals, Spring Valley took game one, but Parkersburg didn't quit and pulled out the win. They didn't announce the All Conference team last night, not sure when that will happen.

Most conferences wait until AFTER the state tournament is over to announce their all-conference teams. This is STUPID because they usually end up announcing them about the time the all-state teams come out and they're just swept under the rug as insignificant.
It just shows how much they really care about the sport in this state.

What a tournament. A few surprises. Carl Harnish is once again proving that he can pull a rabbit out of a hat. He's got 3 top hitters that play all around and just took control of the big matches. Did not predict that win but PHS is definitely proving its a team to be reckoned with.
