Martinsburg all Tournament Team Selection??

Does anyone besides me find unusual to have more kids selected off the runnerup team than the championship team? Musselman had great play by their libero (Fritts) and some of their other hitters (esp. the Lambert girl)all day and they get one selection?(PHS had two) Of course Manor has to be selected,if the paper's right she had 97 kills WOW!!! Does anyone disagree that shes not hands down player of the year?

Too follow up on Doublehits comments, Six team pools is just crazy when you have three gyms in the school ! Lets do some simple math 12 teams divide by 4 equals 3 four team pools. Then pool play is over around 4 oclock instead of 9:30, alot of thought went in that for the teams that had a long trip home. I am not even going to get into the lopsided pools! In my opinion, Frankfort and Phillip Barbour would have made it out of the other pool easily.

Does anyone know who else made the all tournament team from the other schools? I dont think they were announced at the tournament, but maybe I was asleep by that time.

Oh yea I almost forgot the Frankfort Falcons might not be on the rankings list, but AA better look out for them in Charleston, they are possibly the best team in AA. Get your scores in Falcons.

It is possible when you have

It is possible when you have such a dominating player because they go by the coaches ballots throughout the day and the coaches only get to pick one girl from the opposing team and all of the coaches pick the same girl. Teams that do not have hugely dominate players will get more names thrown into the hat.

I've got to agree with you on this one. Who has ever heard of a (second place) team having 2 All Tournament Players and only one from the first place team "Musselman"? Go figure.
