Congrat's Musselman

Congratulations to the Musselman team and especially the 6 seniors for going out with a State Championship. Here are some notes about these girls:

1. Team record- 43-1-4, no losses to a West Virginia school.

2. Won all 5 tournaments it entered this year.
A. Oak Glen
B. Fort Hill
C. Mercersburg
D. Capitol Classic
E. Martinsburg

3. Defeated 4 defending state champions along the way.
A. Strasburg- Virginia
B. Boonsboro- Maryland
C. Lawrence School- New Jersey
D. Parkersburg- West Virginia

4. They lost only 8 games in 5 years at the freshman, JV and varsity levels.

Erica Manor- 747 kills, 39.1% hitting percentage. The states best player.

Brooke Fritts- 495 digs, was outstanding during the state tournament.

Sabina Nicewarmer- 322 kills and 100 aces. Great spot server and passer.

Kayla Johns- 1215 assists (9.9/game) and 93 aces. Had a great state tournament.

Tori Shawyer- 117 aces. Great server and defender/passer.

Dana Lambert-124 kills. Difference maker on this team as she was able to draw attention
off of Erica and Sabina.

The Musselman family thanks you for your hard work and for the way in which you represented your school and community. Good luck to all of you.

I also wanted to add my congratulations to the list of well wishers. Musselman had a very strong team this year and definitely deserves the State Title. No doubt Erica Manor will be Player of the Year.
In addition to alot of talent, the girls were focused on the title and refused to lose. Talent will take a team a long way, but you have to have the desire to win to be able to finish at the State level.
Also, congratulations to the Coaching staff for a great job.

I would also like to give a HUGE shoutout to my girls Katie and Brittany Boarman and the crew for a fabulous career and season. You have alot to be proud of!!!
