Club Volleyball

Teams will be forming in the coming weeks for the club season. There is a direct correlation between players playing at that level and the better high school teams in the state. River Cities Club out of Huntington will be selecting teams over the next week or so and it appears that they are going to have several very strong teams with players from Cabell Midland, Huntington High, AAA state champ Spring Valley, Ripley, Winfield, Teays Valley Christian, Hurricane among others from WV; Russell, Ashland Paul Blazer, Fairview among others from KY and Fairland, South Gallia and others from OH.

What's the outlook for other clubs in the state?

Club Attack

Club Attack in Beckley is expanding again this year and will put 10-12 teams into action this winter.

Once again, we have several players who were selected to All State. We had three players make first team All Stata AA; Alyssa Hunt, Junior Independence, Brandy Thompson, senior Indpendence and Albany Reed, senior Summers County. Also, Cailin Yost, senior Independence, made Honorable Mention.

On A All State, Linday Fritz, senior Greater Beckley, was named Captian of the First Team.

These are all current and/or former players with Club Attack.

We expect to see at least a few more Club Attack reps on the AAA All State Team.

Again, Club Attack is having is tremendous impact on the area.

congrats to EPan WV WAHINE 13u

Congratulations to the Eastern Panhandle VBC 13u WV Wahine for winning the the Chesepeake Region Open Regional Championships and qualifying for the JO National Championships in Reno, NV in late June. Seven of the nine team members are future Musselman players! It looks like the future continues to be bright for Musselman! If someone could help us out, we are trying to research to see if any other club team based in WV has ever qualified for the Junior National Championships I know a few Hedgesville players of the early 2000s qualified, but they played for a Maryland based club.

Thats great!! That just

Thats great!! That just helps the sport grow and get better in the state. River Cities will have 6 teams this season, 13yo 15yo 2-16yo's 17yo and 18yo. Quite a few girls from Spring Valley and Cabell Midland as well as a few from Huntington High and Winfield are playing there. Also some girls from OH and KY in addition to a few other WV schools.

Club Volleyball

Club Attack in Beckley is expanding to 10-12 year old teams, along with our 13-17 teams.

We've always had a strong showing of players from Independence, Woodrow Wilson and Shady Spring. This year, we've picked up players from Summers County, Princeton and Oak Hill.

We have several players who were selected All State and All Conference. We have one player, Alyssa Hunt, sophomore from Independence, who made first team All State AA.

The impact Club Attack is having is tremendous.
