I dont like that there are so many nm ppl with bias on this thread. North Marion is going to be good this year we get it but no way they are the best team in the state. It was this same stuff last year and were they the best in the state?? NO, not even close. So how about keeping things honest and realistic people. Oh and I'm sayin this to anyone else who just says there team is the best. What would the point be in this thing if everyone put there own teams at 1?

The new player is really good. My aunt lives a few houses down from where they moved and a few of the local kids shoot around and play pickup games across the street.I saw her playing one day and she outshoots/plays most of the boys.Someone at HHS said she has as many as 15 bigtime D-1 offers. I heard Notre Dame,WVU,Duke,Virginia to mention a few.
well i guess u didnt see UHS play at the end of the summer ask the coach from NM he did....and i hope all our conference teams are good this year it makes them more fun to watch especially driving 2 or 3 hours to see games. Good Luck to everyone on a great 2008/2009 Season....

2)Huntington (Huntingtons only loss will be to the Huskies)
3)University (They are loaded but coaching and team unity could be an issue)
4)Woodrow (If Reynolds is close to 100 percent Beckley will be hard to beat)
4)Nitro (Loaded with talented young players, but who is going to be the coach?)
6)Morgantown (Good group of girls who play well together)
7)Martinsburg (Underacheived last year, but they should be a solid contender this year)
8)Park South (Great coaching, but they dont have the same talent as in the past)
9)Princeton (Solid team oriented group that should do well)
10)GW, Winfield, St. Albans, So Charleston, Musselman (The tenth spot could go to any of these teams)
how do u know anything about UHS this year they have great chemistry between the young and the older girls, we played against North Marion in wheeling this summer in the championship and lost by 1 and they played well together and as good as NM is i consider that job well done...cant wait for the season to start
ur rite, it was the semifinal finals and they lost by 1 again in the consoliation game but we do have some chemistry this year for uhs so everyone will just have to see for themselves,=)

Nitro????? lost wallace 25 points per game / leading rebounder (senior this year) is pregnant not a rumor confirmed. But do have young talent. Coach Tinsley is coaching football at WV tech will be interesting to see if he returns.
South Charleston lost Jones, Walker, Butler, (3 senior starters and their head coach)
NORTH MARION just got back from the bluechip fall classic philly.they went 4-0 and beat some good aau teams the pittsburgh heat,lady running rebels from philly the wescon fillies from connecticut and the pa comets.the rebels and the fillies are too of the better aau teams in the country.thats good for a high school team from wv to go and beat big aau programs like that so good luck to the huskies this year.

In the eastern panhandle the bulldogs of Martinsburg will be loaded. iesha Robinson is back for her senior year and she is a division 1 recruit( WVU and Louisville), they also picked up a transfer out of virginia who was a 1000 point scorer in just her 2 years of varsity Bball ( she is now a junior) and the word is the Marshall girl from Jefferson will transfer back.
